Anyone who manufactures, sells, retails, wholesales or markets Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani or Homeopathy products in India needs an AYUSH license. We handle the full journey — manufacturing (Form 25-D), loan license (Form 25-E) and retail — with Schedule T GMP and technical-staff guidance, across every state.

AYUSH stands for Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy — India's recognised traditional systems of medicine. Any business that manufactures, sells, retails, wholesales, exports or introduces new products in these systems must hold an AYUSH license.
The Ministry of AYUSH sets national policy and quality standards, while the State Licensing Authority (SLA) actually grants licenses, inspects units and enforces compliance. Manufacturing of Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani (ASU) drugs is regulated under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Rules, 1945, and units must follow Good Manufacturing Practices under Schedule T. Many states now use the e-AUSHADHI online portal for licensing.
It is unlawful to manufacture, sell or distribute AYUSH products without a valid license — doing so attracts penalties under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, and products can be seized. A license is also a mark of trust that opens retail, e-commerce and institutional channels.
Which one applies depends on whether you own a factory, use someone else's, or only sell. We identify the right license (or combination) for your business.
| License | Who it's for | Form / Basis |
|---|---|---|
| AYUSH Manufacturing License | Businesses with their own unit producing ASU drugs & classical/proprietary products | Form 25-D (Rule 154), Schedule T GMP |
| AYUSH Loan License | Brands without a factory, producing through a third-party GMP-accredited unit | Form 25-E / 24-E |
| AYUSH Retail License | Pharmacies, stores & sellers retailing Ayurvedic/Unani/Siddha/Homeopathy products | As per state drug-control rules |
| Wholesale / Distribution | Distributors and wholesalers supplying AYUSH products in bulk | As per state rules |
| Homeopathy Manufacturing | Manufacturers of homeopathic medicines (separate provisions) | Homeopathy rules under the D&C Rules, 1945 |
| Export Certificates (GMP / COPP) | Manufacturers exporting AYUSH products abroad | WHO-GMP & COPP certification |
A loan license lets you build a brand without owning a plant — products are made by a GMP-accredited manufacturer and approved by the authority. Classical formulations and proprietary (brand-specific) products can both be covered.

The conditions an AYUSH license applicant must satisfy.
An AYUSH license is your authority to legally manufacture, sell or distribute traditional-medicine products.
A licensed brand is trusted by customers and partners, giving you an edge over unlicensed sellers.
Marketplaces, modern retail and institutions deal only with properly licensed AYUSH products.
A compliant unit can pursue WHO-GMP/COPP certification to sell into international markets.
Your AYUSH license is a living credential. We keep it valid and accurate across its full lifecycle.
AYUSH licenses are issued for a fixed term and must be renewed as per state rules. Letting one lapse can halt manufacturing and sale. We track validity and file renewals on time, with the GMP and staff position re-verified.
Launching a new proprietary formulation, adding a product form, or changing premises, staff or constitution? Each must be reflected on the license. We handle product approvals, endorsements and amendments.
